SATURN, NancyTuesday, March 9, 2010. If you had the pleasure of meeting Nancy Adelson Saturn, founder of the American Artisan and the American Artisan Festival, you'd never forget her. From her childhood in Detroit through her adult life in Nashville, bold and beautiful Nancy was known for her passion for arts and artists, her entrepreneurial audacity, her fearless advocacy for breast cancer survivors, her zest for travel, great food and fine wine, her strength and style, her quick wit and wonderful laugh, her appreciation for her community, her intense love for her friends and family, and her lifelong connection with her husband and soul mate of 45 years, Alan. Nancy, age 67, died peacefully at home in Nashville surrounded by her family on March 9, 2010 due to complications from a recurrence of metastatic breast cancer.
