COVID-19

Jewish law teaches the principle of pikuach nefesh, the mitzvah saving a life, of guarding our health and the health of others. From this principle, we learn it is a commandment for those who are eligible to get vaccinated.

Beth El’s COVID Team continues to guide protocols that are consistent with CDC and MDH guidelines and our staff are working hard to offer programs and services -both in person and virtual.

Please note that beginning March 4, 2022:

  • Masks are always welcome and will continue to be available for anyone who prefers to wear one, but will not be required at Beth El.
  • Physical distancing will continue to be an option, and tables at kiddush lunch will continue to be setup as they have been since November to allow for physical distancing while eating.
  • Proof of vaccinations, boosters, or negative COVID tests are no longer required to enter the building.
  • If you have tested positive for COVID-19, please follow the CDC isolation guidelines of staying home for 5 days (and until you are fever free, and symptoms are improving) and then wear a mask around others for an additional 5 days.

We are committed to transparent communication with our community and will continue to provide updates as we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic together. We will continue to adjust protocols as needed based on COVID-19 transmission rates and community spread.

Thank you for partnering with us as we work together to keep our Beth El community safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you soon!
