Deep Canvassing on Race and Bias : A Project of Jewish Community Action and Beth El Synagogue
Deep canvassing is a way to engage people in honest one on one conversations about race and bias. On Sunday November 5th from 9-4 at Beth Jacob Congregation, a team of “deep canvassers” from Beth El join others from across the Twin Cities for this event. Training in the methodology of deep canvassing, an approach that was extraordinarily effective in the equal marriage campaign, occurs in the morning. In the afternoon pairs of canvassers will go into neighborhoods to facilitate these conversations.
Those interested or those with questions should register with Jeffrey Schein by email or calling 216-409-3813. You can also learn more about the JCA and deep canvassing by going to its website www.jewishcommunityaction.org .
