On Pesach, we are not to own any chametz, fermented grain products. But to empty and discard our cupboards completely would be a waste of resources. Therefore, we sell our chametz (called “Mekhirat Chametz”). While the items can remain in our locked cabinets, selling them enables us to rid ourselves of all that spiritually sours our lives. Annually, we help orchestrate the sale of your chametz by inviting you to appoint Rabbi Alexander Davis as your agent in the sale. This can be done in person, but more often than not it is done online. It’s easy, accessible and important step in preparation for the Passover holiday.
