Join us for a discussion on capital punishment in the United States and a screening of the documentary film The Penalty.
This documentary, The Penalty, follows three people caught in the cross-hairs of capital punishment and the political landscape that could decide their fate: Damon Thibodeaux, who was exonerated and moved to Minneapolis after 15 years on death row in Louisiana; a public defender in Ohio who struggles with the burden of attempting to keep his death-row clients alive; and the mother of a murder victim in Jacksonville, Florida whose attitudes toward capital punishment evolve dramatically over time.
The evening will conclude with a Q&A session facilitated by Steve Kaplan.
