Wills and Trusts
A bequest is one of the most meaningful ways to make a gift to Beth El. Your gift of any size made through a bequest will help ensure Beth El is vibrant in the future. You can make a bequest by including a provision for Beth El Synagogue or Foundation in your will or trust – you may choose a specific dollar amount, property, or a percentage of your estate.
Benefits of a bequest include:
- It allows you to make a generous gift while maintaining control of your assets during your lifetime.
- You can designate the fit for a specific purpose, program, or fund.
- You may change your designation(s) at any time.
- They are not subject to estate tax.
The following is sample language that can be used if you wish to include a bequest for Beth El in your will or trust:
“I give [the sum, percentage, or description of property] to Beth El (Synagogue or Foundation), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to be used [for the benefit of the synagogue, program, or fund] or [according to my written instructions on file with Beth El].”
Beth El’s staff can work with you and your attorney to customize this bequest language to ensure that it accurately reflects your wishes and that Beth El will be able to use their gifts as intended.
